Adept Materials Raises $4 Million Seed Round

Adept Materials, an advanced materials startup focused on moisture, humidity, and thermal management, announced the successful completion of the first tranche of its Seed funding round, raising $4 million. The round was led by D.R. Horton and PulteGroup, with additional participation from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and Point Cove LLC.

Founded and led by CEO Derek Stein, Adept Materials has developed patented technology that addresses the challenges posed by moisture and humidity across various industries. The company’s solutions are applicable in settings such as buildings, textiles, packaging, and healthcare, where effective moisture management is critical.
