Investments ranged across various sectors, mainly multifamily, logistics, single-family residential, construction, and finance.

Notable Rounds

  • On June 21, 2021, XYZ Reality, a London-based AR construction technology company, announced a $27,800,000 Series A from Octopus Ventures, Tishman Speyer, Activum, Hoxton Ventures, and 3 other investors.

  • On June 21, 2021, Forto, a Berlin-based online platform for freight forwarding, announced a $240,000,000 Series C led by Softbank with investments from Citi Ventures, Cavalry Ventures, Inven Capital, Northzone, and 4 other investors.

  • On June 23, 2021, Habi, a Bogotá-based tech-enabled residential real estate company, announced a $100,000,000 Series B led by Softbank with investments from 8VC, Tiger Global Management, Inspired Capital Partners, and Homebrew.

What Does This Mean?

This week in proptech, the market bounced back significantly from a 76.95 % decline in funding the week prior.  Softbank and Fifth Wall made headlines acting as lead investors in two rounds for their respective companies. Single-family residential tech companies continue to dominate the market globally.  LatAm has become a hotbed for innovation in residential real estate and multifamily.
