This week in proptech, approximately 9 companies announced funding rounds totaling $309 million (+143.3%) invested in real estate technology companies. Global venture activity is expected to conservatively grow over the next several months. The four-week venture dollar average reached approximately $327 million, while the year-to-date median venture activity remained at $350 million.

Notable Rounds

On April 25, 2021, Stanza Living, a New Delhi, Delhi, India-based tech-enabled co-living company, announced a $102 million Series B lead by Alpha Wave Incubation and 4 other investors. On April 28, 2021, OpenSpace, a San Francisco-based AI photo documentation company, announced a $50 million Series C round led by Alkeon Capital with participation from GreenPoint Partners, JLL Spark, Lux Capital, Menlo Ventures, Navitas Capital, New World Development, PSP Capital Partners, and Zigg Capital. On April 25, 2021, Loft, a São Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil-based residential real estate marketplace, announced an additional $100 million to a $425 million Series D round that closed last month, bringing the company's valuation to an estimated $2.9 billion. New York-based D1 Capital Partners led the initial round, joined by Fifth Wall Ventures, DST, Tiger Global and several other investors. Baillie Gifford led the supplemental round and was joined by Tarsadia Capital and Flight Deck, among other firms. Individual investors include the founders of Instacart and Sweetgreen.
