This Week in Proptech — $171 million was invested across 12 companies at a median funding amount of $3 million. Some of the largest funding rounds went to climate, alternative energy, residential, smart home, finance, and other real estate technology categories.
Funding in a Nut Shell: This week, the US demonstrated its significance in the global venture capital investments industry. While the US was on Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day holiday, capital allocation declined 63.5 percent as deal volume declined 61.3 percent.

State of the Market
This week we took a look at the global state of the proptech venture capital industry.
Since Q3 2022, 55 percent of total venture capital investments have gone to US-based proptech companies, a 72 percentage growth compared to the same time in 2021 and a 120 percentage growth compared to 2020.
What Does This Mean For PropTech?
As capital allocation continues to compress, the United States proptech industry has single-handedly propped up the global proptech industry. In fact, US proptech investors have deployed capital at a ratio of 1:2 compared to their global counterparts.
In the US, 34 percent of capital investments have gone to Seed & Series A companies at a media funding round of $5 million across 80 deals. In compassion, in the entire continent of Europe, 41 percent of capital investments have gone to Seed & Series A companies at a media funding round of $2.5 million across 63 deals.
Notable Rounds of Funding
Swell raised a $120 million Series B co-led by Softbank and Greenbacker Group with investments from Ares Management and Ontario Power Generation.
Ukio raised a $27 million Series A led by Felix Capital with investments from Heartcore Capital, Bynd Venture Capital, Kreos Capital, and two other investors.
Canvas raised a $2.5 million Venture Debt round led by ThinCats.
